Robert Lee, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
With his expertise in retail, banking, manufacturing, healthcare, and insurance management, he leads the company's overall efforts in business vision, growth, and expansion. During the last thirty years he has worked with Global 1000 companies, delivering large scale corporate productivity and technology solutions aimed at improving corporate performance.
Mr. Lee orchestrated joint ventures with Seagrams, American President Lines, Mitsui OSK, Sybase, Sony, and PepsiCo. As a mergers and acquisitions (M&A) principal he restructured Winchells Donuts, Pizza Hut, Borland Software, and Shea Homes. Internationally he held Asian distribution rights for USG Corporation, First Alert, US Medical Supply, and Ferrari Medical.
Prior to Point-X, Mr. Lee was Chairman and CEO of Jex Technologies, a company providing automated performance management technology, which was sold to a Japanese GIS/mapping company. He owned and operated Liquor Barn, a west-coast discount liquor chain, which was sold to Safeway.
Walter Baechtiger, Chief Technology Officer
Mr. Baechtiger is in charge of the corporation’s strategic technology direction, network operations, information technology systems and processes.
He holds degrees in Marketing and IT from the University of Applied Sciences in St. Gallen, Switzerland. After having been responsible for the planning and implementation of Expansion, Reduction, Merger and Acquisition Strategies for a Swiss Retail Bank, the bank became the largest Retail Bank in Switzerland.
He also designed and built a fully AI-based credit scoring system for Credit Suisse, which significantly outperformed the banks current system as well as all the current systems on the market.
Walter is a Founder of Point-X and an ongoing University Lecturer for GIS, Artificial Intelligence and Datamining.
Ken Wilson, VP of Marketing
Mr. Wilson is responsible for driving Point-X revenue opportunities, articulating the value proposition, developing the corporate marketing initiatives, and managing client implementations. Mr. Wilson oversees the direct and partnership network, in addition to the company's corporate marketing department.
Mr. Wilson has over 20 years of product development and marketing experience in technology hardware and software, and a proven ability to successfully implement and manage key accounts. Prior to Point-X, Mr. Wilson managed a successful product development practice, providing services to HP, Cisco, IBM, Lucent, Wells Fargo, First American Financial, TaylorMade adidas Golf, and other Fortune 1000 companies.
Donald Kaden, VP of Research & Development
Mr Kaden joined Point-X in 2001 to head Point-X's Research and Development Center in Switzerland. With over 12 years of experience in developing database, GIS, and AI applications, Mr Kaden has developed geospatial database applications for Swiss government agencies and some of the top 100 Swiss companies. The most recent development is a Rapid Application Development (RAD) framework, which has reduced database and GIS development times by a factor of eight.
Prior to Point-X, Mr Kaden co-founded a successfull database and GIS mapping software company. The database company's clients include some of the largest banks in Switzerland, Swisstopo, Swiss Army, Swiss Federal Institute of Environment, the Swiss Federal Communication Commission, the Swiss Cities of Berne, Zurich, Lucerne as well as large industrial companies such as Elektrowatt, and Holderbank.
Mr Kaden holds a dipl. phil. II degree from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich, Switzerland.
